Careers in Lobbying

Our course is for university students, graduates and parliamentary researchers who want to find out what a lobbying career has to offer.

You will learn what lobbying is and what lobbyists do on a day-to-day basis. You will learn about career progression and salary structure within the industry, and discover what knowledge and attributes employers look for in new recruits.

We will examine key websites and information sources lobbyists use to monitor the UK Parliament and HM Government and give you tips to get the most out of them.

Finally, we will examine the current regulatory landscape and its implications for practitioners.

Inside Lobbying delivers high-quality, affordable political training to people who want to become lobbyists.

We try and strike a balance between being commercial and socially responsible. This means we keep our prices low and try and deliver our courses in ways that will be most convenient to course attendees.

Everyone who is interested in how lobbying works and is new to the field. You might be a university student who is interested in pursuing a career, a member of the public who is thinking of switching their career and wants some information on where to start, or you may just be inquisitive.

Our courses are geared towards beginners rather than experienced campaigners and are therefore intended for people with little or no prior knowledge about the industry.

For convenience and added security we use PayPal Checkout to process payments. PayPal is an experienced payment processing service that is fast, secure and offers a versatile range of payment options. You can find out more about PayPal on their website:

Sorry, but we do not take bookings over the phone, via cheque or at the door.

None whatsoever. You come in your best pressed suit or just roll-up in jeans and a t-shirt, we really don’t mind. Our emphasis is on being friendly and inclusive.

In the highly unlikely situation that your computer or the PayPal system crashes while you are trying to make a booking you should receive an error message stating that your transaction did not go through.

If you do not receive an order confirmation email from PayPal, try making the requested changes and processing your payment again.

If you decide to cancel or not to show up on the day then we reserve the right to keep part or all of your ticket money because it costs us money to hire venues, speakers and produce course packs. For full details of our cancellations policy, please see the Terms and Conditions section on our website.

A refund can take a few business days to process before it appears in your bank account. If we’ve already received the money from PayPal then we’ll have to process any refunds for that event offline by sending you a cheque or making a bank transfer.

Unfortunately not. We try to keep our ticket prices low and ensure everyone pays the same amount. If you want to save money further then please look out for our occasional promotional discount codes.
